How did you go about searching for internships?
For industry internships in computer science (and related fields), almost all of the big tech companies have research labs or teams, and these teams usually put up internship job postings between November and February. I would visit their company-specific job posting site once a week looking for new internship postings during this time. I also follow several industry researchers on Twitter, and if their teams are hiring then they usually post a link to the application in a tweet.
